Back on March 3rd I did the makeup for a styled shoot with Stacy Sullivan from Set Free Photography. Lizzy and Kevin celebrated their engagement at the Fair. The styling for the shoot was done by Along Came Stephanie. I love the bright vivid colors in these pictures and they paired it well with their simple, but stylish outfit choices.

Congratulations to Melodie and Zach!
Their wedding was just featured on the Wedding Channel website. The Hope Artistry team for this wedding included Tania Popowicz for makeup and Lindsay Johnson for hair. The wedding took place at the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort in Naples, Fl. When it comes to weddings, the Ritz is impeccable with details and planning. Their wedding professionals are top notch and their bridal suites are luxurious with ample space for the whole wedding party to get ready.

Back in May of 2012, Hope Artistry was pleased to be a part Aubrey and Scott’s beautiful wedding at Pink Shell Resort on Fort Myers Beach. Beach weddings are always so beautiful, but I loved their creativity in using unique decor like starfish and driftwood. It’s the attention to details that make such a difference in a wedding. Also what wedding is really complete without bobble head dolls anyhow? (Watch the video and you’ll understand what I mean) Aubrey and her mom, Robin, were a breeze to work with and very, very, very nice.
I must say that Gracey did a fabulous job on her makeup and I loved, loved the side braid that Kiley put in her hair as you will see in the picture below. Our team truly is remarkably talented. Enough of my bragging, here is the wedding wire review by Aubrey herself: kind review
“I used Hope Artistry for my wedding, held at the Pink Shell Resort May 12, 2012. Gracey did our I and she was WONDERFUL!!! She did my makeup, as well as both mothers, my grandmother and all six of my bridesmaids. The makeup looked amazing and everyone complimented it all night- it even looked amazing at the end of the night. She did eyelashes for everyone, which actually looked very natural and hot! She did an airbrush finish which gave us all an amazing glow, we looked wonderful and it actually lasted all day into the night (my wedding was at 6:30 pm, outside in the May heat!). She was SO sweet and I loved having her around all day as we got pampered, and it was wonderful that she came to us. I would DEF recommend! Kiley did my hair, along with my mother/grandmothers hair and the bridemaids. She is funny and sassy, and I really enjoyed her. She put in extensions for me that morning and they looked so natural, I have gotten so many compliments and most of them are still in despite washing every day and even taking a few turns in a jet ski! My hair held all day (as did all my girls) and the braids she incorporated into everyone’s look were the perfect touch. All in all, there are cheaper alternatives but it is your wedding day (and hello- you get what you pay for!), so I say treat yourself and Hope Artistry is a GREAT option!!”

Booking vendors for any big occasion can be stressful and difficult to pick which vendor to go with. At Hope Artistry we want to make it as easy as possible. Our goal is to make you feel like the most glamorous you. Having a trail run is always a good idea. Here are a few tips and ideas for you to consider when planing your trial with Hope Artistry.
- Look online for photos of styles you like. {Pinterest is a great way to help you identify what you are looking for: dramatic, natural, a bright pop, sultry, etc.} This will also help the makeup artist or hair stylist understand exactly what you are wanting.
- If you are booking for your wedding, consider scheduling your engagement photos for the same day as your hair and makeup trial. This way you get the full experience and you are able to see how your makeup photographs.
- Facials… If you are think about getting a facial, stray away from doing this the week of your trial, or wedding. Although facials are great and we highly recommend them, you don’t want to chance your skin being at all irritated for photos.
